First Grade rocks!

It's hard to believe we're already in week 3 of the year! Our class has learned most of our routines for the year, and we are rocking and rolling.

This week we started our individualized word wall words. Please work with your child in reading these words. Some parents like to make small cards and practice flash card-style. It is important that children can read these words in stories so they don't have to spend time analyzing every word.

Also, we are working on first graders being responsible about library books. After reading each night, please have your child place his/her book in their bookbag so it returns to school the next day.

We have a great class!!
